I haven’t had much time for blogging lately. I have still been taking photos though. Obsessively educating myself on technique both in camera and in retouching. Experimenting on voluntarily adding grain (never thought I would hear myself say that) and enjoying underexposing. I love the grey effect.

Here is one I took recently of building storm clouds over Waikerie, South Australia.
My kids are do excited. Its the first year my eldest son who is 4 has really appreciated Christmas. His younger brother who is 2 is excited because its what his brother is doing. It makes me laugh. Just another reason to love Christmas.
Here are a few random Christmas photos I have taken that I thought I would share. Hopefully they help to get you in the festive spirit.
My husband and I were lucky enough to get out after the kids went to bed on a recent trip to Waikerie in the Riverland in South Australia. We went to our favourite place to hang out, Broken Cliffs. The evening was warm and although the battery died in my camera (yes, I am not the best person when it comes to preparation) and we couldn’t go swimming due to an unfortunate incident that had resulted in my husband sporting 3rd degree burn bandaging and strict instructions not so swim in the river, we hung around dipping our toes into the warm water and enjoying the quiet and the sunset. Here are a few of the shots I took before the camera battery ran out.
