Macro Series: Photo 4

The other day I was at home with the boys. They played in the front yard in the afternoon. While they did I took a few photos using my iPhone and a cheap macro attachment. This series are the photos I took.

The spike of the aloe vera is orange! I am not sure if it is always that colour? Perhaps it was a reaction to me pulling a leaf off to use for sunburn?

Macro Month: Day 3

This is a succulent I have growing in my backyard. I love this photo for the colour and the tiny fine spikes down the edge of the leaf. You can’t really see them unless you look this closely.

I am… looking more closely at my backyard

While W had his morning nap, R, E & myself went out into our backyard for a cup of tea. R & E practically inhaled theirs as usual and not idle by nature, decided to go off composting leaving me to finish my cup of tea alone and ponder what to do next.

While checking my email on my iphone I looked up and noticed the pattern the moss growing on the roof tiles made and then I noticed a water droplet hanging from a succulent. I decided to grab my ‘professional photographer’s’ hat and equipment (my iphone – haha) and it turned into a photography session.
