I haven’t had much time for blogging lately. I have still been taking photos though. Obsessively educating myself on technique both in camera and in retouching. Experimenting on voluntarily adding grain (never thought I would hear myself say that) and enjoying underexposing. I love the grey effect.
I have been posting mainly to my facebook page recently. If you would like to see some of my recent images you can find them here at Kim Clements Photographer.
Here is one I took recently of building storm clouds over Waikerie, South Australia.
I stood waiting for the sun to set. As it did my fingers froze and the sunset was not outstanding. A few images salvaged. Ironically, the yellow of the sun reminds me of the fire that waited for me at home.
A different jetty. This time I had to zoom. This is the extent of my zoom. I was a million miles away. I was impressed that it still produced a clear image that froze the jumpers.
You can still see the splash from the previous jumper. The mother in me says that kid needs talking to about safety. The photographer in me says I should talk to them about jumping in synchronisation.
