The Character Portrait

I didn’t mention earlier that my friend is, amongst many other things, FUNNY! She plays ‘characters’ constantly. Whether its at work or socially she is always talking, laughing and pulling faces. It was a miracle I was able to take any photos around the face pulling. Every time she thought the camera was about to click she would strike a facial pose! Hilarious. I love this portrait of her.

Praying Mantis Series: Photo 5 (final)

A bit of fun. I thought the praying mantis with the shadows looked a bit like one of those obviously fake Godzilla-like monsters in old movies. It needed to be black and white of course.

The 25 Days of Christmas: 11. hope

The antithesis of…

Believe it or not this little gem was found written beside the front door of THE HOUSE ACROSS THE STREET!

I would love to know the backstory. For now I will have to imagine some sort of elaborate suspense/horror story happening right across the road. We should be in a movie.

The following photo was taken approximately 1 minute after the first. Not more than 20 metres away.

There is still hope.

The Christmas Pagent

I took my kids to the Christmas Pagent in the small town where I grew up in rural South Australia this evening. They loved it and so did my husband and I. Not only do you have a very personal, friendly Christmas pagent experience, but I got to take along my camera and take some photos of something other than my backyard! I will be posting some of the photos I took in the coming days. If you want to see the others I have already posted them on my facebook page found here.

Here come the clowns.

The Things We Do For Our Blogs!

I was going through my photos the other day. I had such a back log it was ridiculous. I discovered what I think is a bit of a gem amongst them. Its actually taken by my anaesthetist! With a bit of cropping and editing I think it turned out fairly well!

So here is my husband and I meeting our newest addition for the first time in the operating theatre! I think its a great photo. What do you think?
