As far as I can tell it is simple really. Powerful portraits are about connection. Connection to the camera or connection between the subjects.

Sometimes the most fun is had when you least expect it. Like when you have to stop your car and explore out of the way places due to bad traffic and weather. They had so much fun.

Can’t Get Enough Baby Cuteness!

I had to share a few more from my newborn session the other day. He was so cute. Everybody can use a bit of cuteness to brighten up their day, right?

My Second Newborn Slept! Hoorah!

Wow! What a difference it makes when they are brand new and sleeping! The difference between a baby wide awake at 4 weeks and sleepy, bendy and 1 week is incredible.

My First Newborn

It was a baptism of fire. He wasn’t at all sleepy and didn’t want mum to put him down. We managed to get a few shots. He was super cute though.

I think there might have to be some flexibility when it comes to working with kids. Babies especially are so bewildered by the break in routine when they are brought out for photos at tea/dinner time or bath time or worse bed time! I love the wide eyed wonder. Anyone know any good jokes for babies?
