Outback Landscape

Isn’t it funny how we love photographing buildings that are falling down?!

Multitasking: a master class

I travelled today with my 8 week old. Of course half way there I had to stop to attend to a meltdown. Sitting on the bank of the Murray River at Blanchetown in South Australia I had to feed him.
This was snapped on my Galaxy mid feed and cropped and edited on Snapseed. Well I had a hand free, mustn’t waste an opportunity while I’m out of the house. The clarity could be better, you can’t expect miracles from a phone camera with no option to move around to get the shot!

I love the dead trees at this place in the river. I hope one day when I have more time to come back with my DSLR.

Weekly Photo Challenge: through my eyes

The world as it appeared to me standing by the jetty of Lake Bonney in Barmera, South Australia. I was using my camera phone but still trying to find the best perspective. What do you think? A, B, C or D?

Stills of Summer 6

A different jetty. This time I had to zoom. This is the extent of my zoom. I was a million miles away. I was impressed that it still produced a clear image that froze the jumpers.

You can still see the splash from the previous jumper. The mother in me says that kid needs talking to about safety. The photographer in me says I should talk to them about jumping in synchronisation.

Macro Month: Day 25

These beautifully colourful flowers are Gazanias. They are native to Southern Africa, but grow like weeds on the sides of the roads in country South Australia. I must say that if we must have weeds, I am glad they are so colourful. They make the roadsides beautiful! I got a bit carried away with photographs and I couldn’t pick just one (or two, or three) so here are a lot of photos of Gazanias!
