The other day my boys played in the front yard. I took my iphone and a cheap macro lens outside with them. These are the photos I took.
These two images were taken inside the kitchen after I saw the spider. I decided to experiment with lighting with a torch. Not too bad really considering what was used.

You’ve captured some great detail here! And I love how the light makes the edges glow, highlighting the texture.
Thanks very much! I loved the glow too. I will definitely be experimenting with a torch again π
Nice Macro! I love getting up close and personal in my own photography so I love seeing it when other people do it as well! Unfortunately I don’t have a camera that can do that well… But that’s alright! Thanks for sharing your photos! π

I used a $3 lens on an iPhone and a household torch for lighting! Don’t let expensive equipment hold you back π We would all love a proper macro lens for our DSLR’s but until we can afford it it just makes us focus on good composition and be creative. Its not such a bad thing in my opinion π Thanks for taking the time to comment!
Good Evening: I’ve also taken extreme close up pictures of leaves. They become more interesting the closer you look. Vonn Scott Bair
I agree whole heartedly! I love the detail to be found from looking closer. Thanks for taking the time to comment π
